Why Cuticle Oil is Important

What is Cuticle Oil?

Cuticle oil gives your nails and skin the vitamins and moisture it needs to grow strong and healthy.

cuticle oil gives your nails and skin the vitamins and moisture it needs to grow strong and healthy.

Cuticle Oil is a blend of vitamin E and Jojoba, sweet almond, avocado, or sunflower oil; designed to deliver moisture and vitamins to the skin around the nail and the nail plate itself, helping prevent dryness, hangnails, peeling, and breakage. Jojoba oil is the best oil to use when considering using cuticle oil because it is the closest oil to the natural oils in your skin. Cuticle oil is skincare for your nails!

Is Cuticle Oil for Me?

Yes! Cuticle oil is for everyone! There is no harm or effects of using cuticle oil because no matter how oily you think your skin is, your nails need moisture to stay strong and healthy.

What are the Benefits of Cuticle Oil?

Cuticle oil helps your nails stay hydrated. Your cuticles and nail plate need moisture. Cuticle oil deeply

prevents dryness, cracking, and peeling. Cuticle oil helps your nails grow stronger. Well-hydrated nails are more flexible, which means less splitting, breaking, and lifting. Cuticle oil supports healthy nail growth. Massaging cuticle oil increases blood flow to the nail matrix, helping nails grow healthier and more evenly. Cuticle oil protects the skin barrier. Cuticle oil helps seal and protect the cuticle area, reducing hangnails and lowering the risk of irritation or infection.

Why does My Nail Tech Use Cuticle Oil After My Manicure?

Cuticle oil helps your manicure last much longer and look fresher.
Cuticle oil helps your manicure last much longer and look fresher.

Nail Technicians use cuticle oil after a manicure to not only help your natural nail grow healthy underneath but also to help your manicure last you a longer time. Dry cuticles can cause premature lifting and chipping. Regular oil use helps manicures last longer and look fresher. Using cuticle oil is especially important if you wear gel, builder gel, or Gel-X.

How do I Use Cuticle Oil?

Finding a good cuticle oil to use is very important. If you settle for a cheaper cuticle oil you will find that it tends to stay on the top of the nail rather than penetrating into the skin. A good cuticle oil contains Vitamin E and should feel lightweight, absorb quickly, not leave your hands overly oily or sticky. There are different cuticle oils for different skin types. If you have dry, cracked cuticles, you will want to look for richer blends with extra nourishment. If you have thin and brittle nails, you should look for oils with keratin or protein boosters. If you have sensitive skin, make sure you use a cuticle oil that is gentle and fragrance free to avoid any irritation to the skin. Not all cuticles are made the same but any cuticle oil is better than none at all!

Apply 1 drop of oil to each nail and gently massage it into the cuticle and nail plate. Daily use gives you the best results. I highly recommend using cuticle oil at night before bed to avoid washing the oil away when washing your hands.

To maintain cuticle health is to maintain nail health. When the cuticle area is hydrated, nails grow stronger, manicures last longer, and your hands look more polished overall.

Your nails are part of your body, don't forget to care for them too!
