Microneedling is one of the most successful, minimally invasive treatments to rejuvenate the skin.  It has been around for many years as a safe and gentle method for improving skin texture, skin tightening, and scar therapy.  

 

The microneedling pen contains a tip with tiny needles that pierce the skin, causing micro injuries. Each tip is sterile and has 12 small stainless steel needles that range from 0- 2.5mm in length. The needles pierce the skin, causing micro injuries, forcing the skin to heal itself. This allows for direct blood flow to that area and rebuilds the fibroblasts and remodels the collagen.

 

What to expect:

The provider applies numbing cream to the area being treated. After 15-30 minutes, the provider will then wipe off the numbing cream, cleanse the area and wipe it with rubbing alcohol. The sterile tip is then attached to the microneedling pen. Hyaluronic Acid is used to help glide the pen over the area being treated. You may experience pinpoint bleeding, bruising and/or swelling.
